Our Edinburgh departure point is in the centre of Edinburgh on the Royal Mile / Hiogh Street just down from St Giles cathedral.

Accommodation, Meals and Activities

3 star accomodation and breakfast is included in the price of a tour. All activities listsed in an itinerary are also included. Lunches and evening meals are excluded except where detailed. If excluded we will provide a choice of places for you to eat that we have tried and tested.

Warm clothing, waterproofs and sturdy shoes for a bit of hiking are a must regardless of the season! We will be getting into the great outdoors regardless of the weather, so come prepared. In summer it can be warm enough for a pair of shorts or a t-shirt - but we must be prepared and think of dry sunny weather as a bonus. Walking boots are essential for the walking tours. Otherwise trekking shoes / trainers / sneekers are fine for the Islay and other tours.

Other bits'n'bobs

Obviously a camera is a must, as can be sunscreen in the summer months (don't laugh too hard!) and binoculars can be handy for spotting wildlife. A sense of humour is always good as is that holiday feeling!

All of our tours depart from and return to our office. They leave our office at 8.00am so check in is at 7.45am. However we also offer a free pick up service from your accommodation or from Edinburgh International Airport if required. This time will be confirmed upon booking the tour. We arrive back from tour around 6.30pm and will drop off within the city centre again at your accommodation or at Edinburgh International Airport.

We may be able to collect you from your city centre or airport hotel. Please ask at time of booking.
